Based on global standards for wireless LANs, NetLink Wireless Telephones simplify network infrastructure by allowing converged voice and data traffic over a common wireless network. Standard Internet Protocol, or IP, packets are used to transport voice on the wireless and wired LAN. To ensure excellent voice quality, SpectraLink has developed a voice prioritization mechanism for wireless LAN access points and NetLink Wireless Telephones. SpectraLink Voice Priority (SVP) is standards-compatible, simple to implement, and reduces packet queueing delays for voice traffic. SVP-enabled access points are available from the leading providers of enterprise wireless networks.
The NetLink e340 Wireless Telephone supports the IEEE 802.11b standard and is capable of rate-scaling up to 11 Mb/s. A wireless telephone supporting 802.11 frequency hopping (FH) is also available.
