The Vivato 2.4 GHz Indoor Wi-Fi Switch is designed to be installed on a wall or in the corner of a building to provide coverage for an entire floor. Housed in a moisture and dust proof temperature controlled environment, the Vivato 2.4 GHz Outdoor Wi-Fi Switch can provide Wi-Fi coverage for an entire building (outdoor to indoor) by mounting the switch on an adjacent building. Vivato’s innovative, long range switches enable a new type of Wi-Fi deployment, with one manageable Wi-Fi switch replacing many conventional access points, resulting in a system that is easier to manage and secure.

The power of Wi-Fi switching starts with Vivato’s smart antennas. These switches use a phased-array radio antenna that creates highly directed, narrow beams of Wi-Fi transmissions. These Wi-Fi beams are created on a packet-by-packet basis with Vivato’s patent-pending technology called PacketSteering.

Vivato’s Wi-Fi Switches include advanced security features such as 802.1x authentication with per station keys, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and Virtual LANs (VLANS). At the Wi-Fi level, Vivato’s switches support the Wired Equivalency Protocol (WEP) and have the hardware required for supporting the IEEE 802.11i standard. Vivato switches also include a unique rogue access point (AP) detection system.
