The IGW/400-CAN supports Ad-hoc- and Infrastructure mode. By using Infrastructure mode, the devices can communicate with other network partners by an access point, with Ad Hoc mode, two Wi-Fi-enabled devices can communicate directly with each other - without the use of an access point.
