AP-G250
AP-G250
The AP-G250 is a small footprint wireless access point-router suitable for residential or small business applications. While typical consumer grade wireless routers provide around 50mW of RF power output, the AP-G250 offers up to 250mW for superior signal coverage. Not only is the AP-G250 a powerful device, it offers serious features and options. It can be configured as a wireless bridge, router or client device (bridged or routed client). Multiple units can be linked together with wireless distribution system (WDS) support. Another feature, universal repeater mode allows for connection to another wireless network and the rebroadcasting of the signal. Other features are a full range of firewall and security options, RIP dynamic routing, site survey and DMZ. Two network ports, one a WAN/LAN and the other a LAN port allow for wired connections. This fully follows the 802.11b/g standards. Independent performance testing has shown that using this powerful device outperforms the 802.11n draft standard (standard not yet finalized). Tests have shown that after passing through one or two walls will provide superior signal over low powered 802.11n draft devices, resulting in higher bandwidth and speed. This popular device was introduced in December 2008.
