Airosafe ICE is a control environment that lets a user manage, protect, monitor and control access to a wireless network. After deploying wireless access points and connecting them to a network infrastructure, Airosafe ICE takes control of the network by automatically discovering the wireless access points. Each such device is configured with a predetermined set of attributes. From that point on, the system monitors each of these devices for changes in their configuration status. Airosafe ICE handles 802.1X requests that come through any of the wireless devices, authenticating users and computers from either an integrated secure database or from a pre-configured external database, such as Active Directory. Airosafe ICE supports several authentication protocols, such as EAP-TLS and PEAP.
Airosafe ICE continually monitors the state of each wireless access point on the network, informing the network administrator of any change to a managed device's configuration. In addition, Airosafe ICE can sense whether a new device is connected to the network in real-time, resulting in the quick detection of rogue access points to the network.
Airosafe ICE Enterprise Edition includes several supplements. These include replication for deploying multiple instances of Airosafe ICE; support for RADIUS attributes that are sent to the wireless devices based on the current profile; and automatic provisioning of supplicant configuration (WPS).
Airosafe ICE WISP Edition adds a management platform for controlling and tracking subscriber activities over the wireless network. Real-time and historic data is used for billing subscribers. Pre-paid, post-paid and subscription deals can be set up and assigned to subscribers, resulting in accurate charging records per subscriber session.
