RoamAD's platform supports up to four radios per node using any combination of 900MHz, 2.4GHz, 4.9GHz, and 5 GHz for either backhaul or end user access. Backhaul options include point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, multipoint-to-multipoint, mesh, and mobile mesh either in self-forming, self-healing modes, or in RoamAD's infrastructure-mesh mode.

A typical node consists of:

* Embedded motherboard (with 1 or more onboard 10/100baseT Ethernet interfaces).

* 64/128 MB SDRAM.

* 128 MB Compact Flash card.

* CPU (x86 or XScale).

* Four radios and four spectrum bands per node. Any mix of:

o 900 MHz (900-928 MHz)

o 2.4GHz (2.400-2.483 GHz)

o 4.9 GHz (4.940-4.990 GHz)

o 5 GHz (5.12-5.25, 5.25-5.35, 5.47-5.725 GHz, 5.725-5.825

* Lightning surge protectors (optional).

* Power over Ethernet (PoE) or DC power supply (115/240V 50/60Hz power supply).

* Weather rated outdoor cabinet.
