The module is interoperable with industry-standard IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g access points that provide readily available, cost-effective infrastructure for connection to a LAN or, via a LAN to the Internet. Or, they can be used to provide a wireless connection directly to an 802.11-enabled PC or PDA. A reliable, built-in TCP/IP stack, robust command line interface and built-in web server firmware provide instant connectivity with no device driver or host processor firmware development needed. With its industrial temperature rating and enhanced power management modes, the module is designed specifically to meet the demands of embedded wireless communications applications. And the module includes analog and digital general-purpose I/O, I2C interface support, and high-speed UART or SPI embedded host interfaces to support a wide range of remote monitoring and control applications. The Wireless Node Module's integrated web server makes it easy to set up and configure wireless systems and remotely monitor and control any device via a standard web browser.
